EDWARD L. NELSON
Services for Edward L. Nelson, 49, of Indianola, formerly of Carlisle, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home in Carlisle, with burial in the Scotch Ridge Cemetery near Carlisle.
Mr. Nelson was found dead at his home Sunday of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning, pending results of an autopsy.
A native of Greenfield, Mr. Nelson lived in the Carlisle and Scotch Ridge areas for 25 years before moving to Indianola about six months ago. He was a graduate of Simpson College and was employed as a job developer for the State of Iowa. He was a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Shelley Noland and Susan Nelson, both of Dos Moines, and Lourie Nelson of Carlisle, a son, Jeffrey of Carlisle, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arley Nelson of Greenfield, and a grandchild.

GREENFIELD, IA. - Arley Nelson, 91, of Greenfield died of a respiratory ailment Tuesday at Greenfield Manor. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenfield United Methodist Church, with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery.
Mr. Nelson, a lifelong resident of Adair County, was a retired farmer and member of the Methodist Church and had been an announcer at the Adair County Fair for several years.
Surviving are his wife, Dora; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Steen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
