      286. DEBORAH6 WATERMAN (Seth5, Samuel4, Robert3, John2, Robert1), baptized at Halifax, Mass, 23 Oct. 1768, died ; married 12 Dec. 1787, FILER SACKETT, born at Hebron, Conn, 10 Apr. 1766, died 8 Apr. 1834, son of Jonathan and Hannah (Phelps) Sackett.

      Mr. Sackett was grandson of Jonathan and Ann (Filer) Sackett, and was named after his grandmother. His name is incorrectly rendered as "Philo" in the Alvord Genealogy.

      He lived in Litchfield, Conn, Addison, Vt, Aurelius and Chautauqua, N. Y.

      Children of Filer and Deborah (Waterman) Sackett:

      i. JONATHAN7, b. 7 Oct. 1789; d. 17 Oct. 1789.

      ii. LETUS, b. 23 Aug. 1793; d. 3 Feb. 1853; res. Monkton, V t , and Palmerville, Ind.; m. (1) 10 Aug. 1814, HANNAH DINSMAN; m. (2) 13 Oct. 1821, LEAH ORR; m. (3) 2 Aug. 1827, HANNAH WOOLLEY; m. (4) 17 Sept. 1836, DEBORAH JACK; m. (5) 14 Jan. 1844, RUTH M. (PARISH) (HARMAN) NEAL. Ten children.

      iii. CLARA, b. at Ferrisburg, Vt, 28 Aug. 1799; d. at Watson, Allegan Co, Mich, IS June 1883 ; m. at Chautauqua, N. Y , 13 Sept. 1821, ALPHEUS ALVORD,* b. at Greenfield, Mass, 17 Jan. 1787, d. at Austinburg, Ohio, 2 Jan. 1874, son of Caleb and Mary (Murdock) Alvord. They lived at Madison, Ohio (1815-21), Bristol and Geneva, Ohio. Nine children.

      iv. HARRIET, b. 31 Jan. 1803; d. 11 Sept. 1879; m. 30 June 1823, HANFORD HALL, of Chautauqua, N. Y. Eleven children.

      v. ELIZA, b. 24 Dec. 1806; d. 28 Oct. 1879; m. JOSEPH SEE.

      vi. RUSSELL, b. at Dewittville, Chautauqua Co, N. Y , 27 May 1809; d. at Los Angeles, Calif, 6 May 1873; m. in 1835, MARY J. HOVEY, who d. at Buffalo, N. Y , 14 June 1899. He became a lawyer; went to California in 1849; settled in Los Angeles, where he served as Postmaster and Judge of the County Court. Five children,

      vii. ALMIRA, b. 4 Feb. 1812; d. 1 Nov. 1895; m. PLEASANT S. WILSON.

      viii. MARTHA L , b. 20 Feb. 1815; m. ALEXANDER GRIFFIN.
