      Mrs. Amanda Blair Sackett. DAR ID Number: 14352 Born in Ohio. Wife of William K. Sackett. Descendant of Elnathan Perkins and of Lieut. Obadiah Perkins, of Connecticut. Daughter of Robert Nelson Blair and Emor Mallison, his wife. Granddaughter of Thompson Blair and Esther Perkins, his wife. Gr.-granddaughter of Obadiah Perkins and Emblem Hood, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Elnathan Perkins and Mary Phillips, his wife. Obadiah Perkins, (1740-1812), was second in command when he was wounded in the breast at the battle of Groton. He was born at New London and died at Groton. Elnathan Perkins and his sons, Obadiah, Elisha, Asa and Luke, were in the battle of Groton Heights. He and three sons were killed and their names are inscribed on the monument dedicated in 1830 to the memory of those who fell. Also Nos. 2065, 3181, 4693, 8536, 12535.

      Gr-gr-granddaughter of Obadiah Perkins and Emblem Hood, his 2nd wife.
      Gr-gr-gr-granddaughter of Elnathan Perkins (d. 1781) and Mary Phillips (1721-76), his 1st wife. Obadiah Perkins (1740-1812) served as lieutenant in the war of the Revolution from his enlistment 1776 to the battle of Ft. Griswold, in whichhe was severely wounded, 1781. Elnathan Perkins (1718-81) served in the defense of Groton, where he and his three sons were killed.
