DEATH TAKES LOCAL WOMAN
RITES FOR MRS. MABEL SOUTHWICH TO BE THURSDAY AFTERNOON
Mrs. Mabel Southwich, 63, of 310 S. Fifth St., died Monday in the Remert Nursing home in Roanoke. Death was attributed to a heart ailment. She had been in falling health for the past 10 years.
The body is at the Hagi funeral home where friends May call Wednesday evening. Final rites will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 2 p, m. with burial tn Riverview cemetery.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Decker, she was born Nov. 21. 1895 in Cornell.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Bruhn and Mrs. Betty Harding, both of Streator. There are four grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Mary Mill lives in Cornell. A brother. Ray Decker is deceased.
Note: Mabel was the wife of Herbert Southwick; the surname is misspelled in the obituary.

Betty A. Harding
STREATOR -- Betty A. Harding, 75, of 108 S. Third St., Streator, died at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 13, 1998) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator.
There will be no service. Solon Funeral Home, Streator, is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Harding was born April 21, 1923, in Rockford, a daughter of George and Maude Southwick.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Harding and Carl Harding, both of Streator; one sister, Beverly Bruhns, Springfield; six grandchildren; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
