OBITUARY of Clarence Henry Sackett
Clarence Henry Sackett was born October 13, at Marine, Madison county Illinois, and departed this life at Aline, Oklahoma, February 25, 1932, at the age of 60 years 4 months and 12 days. He was united in marriage on February 6, 1895 to Miss Edna May Bosley and to this union were born three children. They moved from Kansas to Oklahoma in 1900, and lived there until 1922 except for one year spent in Pampa, Texas.
They then moved to Aline where they lived until shortly before the death of his wife on August 8, 1926.
Left to mourn his going are the children who are: James, of Pampa, Texas' Mrs. Ella Springer and Henry of Waynoka. He also leaves two brothers, Joe and Will of Aline, and two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Barnett of Aline and Mrs. Nettie Dupy of Waynoka.
Twelve grandchildren- and many friends will also feel his absence.
Mr. Sackett was what would be called en old-timer on this country and had a wide circle of friends. He no doubt went through with a good many hardships of the pioneer in the making of a home and the rearing of his family. He was a kind father and husband a good neighbor and friend and will be missed by those who knew and loved him. He had been in poor health for a number of years but was always patient and cheerful.
Funeral services were conducted afternoon February 26, and he was laid to rest beside his wife in the Od (sic) Fellow cemetery north of town. Rev. Ray Smith gave the funeral sermon. -- Woods County Enterprise
