      Sister Charles Marie Sackett, 77, of Holy Family Convent, died Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 9, at Holy Family Convent.
      Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Convent Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gerald Walker OFM Cap. and burial will be in the Holy Family Convent Cemetery.
      Arvilla Sackett was born Aug. 30, 1906, at New London, Wis., daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ann Rohan Sackett. She entered the convent in 1919 and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1925. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Norbert College with a major in English and a minor in History. She also received a permanent certificate in Wisconsin for teaching. She taught at St. Nicholas, Zanesville, Wis., St. Cambridge at St. Benedict, Ohio. She also taught at Sturgeon Bay, St. Josephs of Maple Grove, and St. Boniface and St. Andrew of Manitowoc. Sister Sackett also taught at Kaukauna, Clarks Mills and St. Theresa in Appleton. She taught at Potosi, Neopit, Wis., and Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she served several years in care of the mail room, retiring in 1979.
      Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; five brothers, David Sackett of Lake Tomahawk, Wis., Melvin Sackett of St. Paul, Minn., Frank, Bernard and Donald Sackett of Rhinelander, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Berndt of Green Bay and Mrs. Celia Shepherd of Rhinelander.
      Friends may call at Holy Family Convent 7:30 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Thursday evening where a prayer service at the Convent Chapel will be a 7 o'clock. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of arrangements.
