Burley Sackett
EMIGRANT -- Former Helena resident Burley Sackett worked in Billings for the Big 4 Secondhand Store, Montana Freight and as terminal terminal manager for Consolidated Freightways. In 1948 he moved to Roundup, where he operated a freight company, bus line and ran the Mecca Night Club. In 1952 he moved to Helena and became the northwest sales manager for Buckingham Buckingham Transortation (sic) Co, returning to Billings in 1953 where he manged the Scoop Tavern. In 1967, he returned returned to Helena, whre (sic) he worked for the Department of Public Service Service Motor Carrier Enforcement Bureau, retiring as chief in 1976 and moving to Emigrant.
Mr. Sackett was a member of the Methodist Church, American Association Association of Retired persons and enjoyed enjoyed hunting, fishing, his yard and story telling.
Mr. Sackett, 69, died Monday evening evening in Livingston Memorial Hospital.
A son of James and Lucille Sackett, he grew up in Billings, graduating graduating from Billings Senior High School.
He married Sarahetta Leatherman on Dec. 7, 1935, in Billings. She died in 1977. He later married Barbara Barbara Owens on Aug. 25, 1978, in Emigrant. Emigrant.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Elmo of Anchorage, Alaska, and Gary of Sacramento, Calif.; a brother; a sister, Mrs. Vaughn (Marie) Huffman of Macon, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in Smith Downtown Downtown Chapel, Billings. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Risley-Sackett
Irene C. Risley, formerly of from Kansas State Teachers 2166 Lewis, Salina, was united in marriage to Elmo A. Sackett, Pocatello, Idaho, Monday evening, June 1 at the United Methodist Church, Emporia, Officiating was Dr. Judd Henry Jones.
Parents of the couple are Mrs. Lorena Risley, Nickerson, and Gene Risley, Wichita, and Mr. and Mrs. Burley T. Sackett, Billings, Mont.
Mrs. Larry Patton, Emporia, and Meryl Isham, Soda Springs, Idaho, were the musicians.
The bride's-chapel train gown, made by her aunt, Mrs. Glen M. Risley, was of silk crepe with an empire bodice of Chantilly lace with pearl accents. Lace appliques with pearls also highlighted the gown.
Her illusion veil was attached to a floral-trimmed bow.
She carried white daisies in a nosegay.
Attending the bride were Lynne Anderson, Shawnee Mission, maid of honor, and Mrs. Mike Wise, Emporia, bridesmaid. '
They wore empire frocks of aqua marine blue crepe, with miniature yellow and white daisies scattered through their hair.
Yellow and white daisies also composed their bouquets.
Best man: Rick Holston, Lake Tahoe, Nev. Groomsman: Forrest Newlin, Emporia. Ushers: Gaylord Risley, Emporia, and Robert Risley, Sterling.
The reception was at Emporia's Ramada Inn.
Mrs. Sackett was graduated from the Kansas State Teachers College, Emporia. For the past 2 years, she taught dramatics and stage crafts at Salina high school, where she also was dramatics coach.
Her husband attended Eastern Montana college, Billings; Idaho State University, Pocatello, and Emporia State. He is manager of KBGL FM and TV, Idaho State.
Mr. and Mrs. Sackett are at home at 1219 Merchant, Emporia, Emporia, until July, when they will make their home in Pocatello.
