      Harry Crow Dies At 75

Harry O. Crow, 75, one of the oldest businessmen in Fairfield, was found dead at his home this morning. It is believed he passed away about 9:30 last night.

He was employed at the Perry Clothing store. When he failed to report for work at the usual time this morning Ralph Perry (Ralph A Perry), owner of the firm, went to the Crow apartment at 104 1/2 S. Third and found his body on the dining room floor.

Crow had worked yesterday and was at the Elks lodge hall for a short time last night.

He had been a resident of Fairfield for 50 years and had been in the clothing business in Fairfield for a long period of time. He was first associated with the late William Mohr (W H Mohr) in operating the store, Mohr and Crow, on the west side of the square.

Following the death of Mr. Mohr, the store was known as Harry O. Crow, Clothiers. Crow sold the business several years ago. but in later years was associated with the Perry Clothing store.

Harry O. Crow was born Aug. 25, 1888, at Unionville, Iowa, the son of William H. and Augusta Bray Crow. He graduated from the Eldon high school and attended Iowa Sate college at Ames. He was married to Mary Chidester of Fairfield on Dec. 31, 1919, who passed away last August after a lingering illness.

Crow was a member of the Elks lodge, Shrine club, Mason, and American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I.

The body is at the Raymond funeral home where last rites will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. C. R. Douglass in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

He is survived by one brother, Robert Crow, Boise, Idaho; one sister, Sylvia Crow, Eldon; and one nephew, Milo Hines, Eldon. He was preceded in death by one sister.
